CULTIVATING A SPACE FOR CREATIVE MINDS TO EXPLORE

At Class Artz Academy, we believe that all children can benefit from creative experiences.

So whether it’s painting, sculpting or drawing, art can help boost a child’s self-esteem and give them confidence to try new things. Both our online and after school art programs are perfect for students from Kindergarten to Year 6 who are keen to explore art-making and creating with new materials.

The art activities offered in both platforms are designed to help children communicate, focus, persevere, take risks and cultivate creative critical thinking.   Whether it’s face to face, or video lessons, the aim of these classes is to give students confidence and foster artistic potential. There is no right or wrong in art – so all of our wonderful students can feel safe to unleash their own creative potential whether at home, or in the classroom.

WHO'S BEHIND CLASS ARTZ ACADEMY

Meet our director, Renee McDonald

Renee is the owner and director of Class Artz Academy. A former primary school teacher, she has over 25 years of experience in the classroom and teaching Art Education to children.  Renee believes that  all children are innately creative and loves to encourage self-expression and discovery through drawing, painting and making.

Her favourite art form is mixed media and she loves giving workshops to young kids. Renee teaches weekly classes in our term program and runs the school holiday workshops. When she is not teaching, she enjoys yoga, travel and of course painting. She lives in the Sutherland Shire with her husband, two older children, along with her Rag Doll cat and her rather active, but very affectionate Golden Retriever.
